Making Jesus the Highest Priority: A Call to First Love
What does it actually mean to make Jesus the highest priority of our lives? It is easy to say the words, but this conversation cuts through the comfortable Christian language we often hide behind and asks us to honestly examine whether our lives reflect what our mouths declare. The central message draws from the greatest commandment, found in the Gospel accounts, where Jesus calls us to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. That word 'all' is where the real challenge lives. Not most of our heart. Not a portion of our mind. All of it. When we begin to sit with that standard, we quickly realize how often we have placed Jesus in a silo, calling on him when convenient but filtering very little of our daily lives through a genuine relationship with him. This discussion invites us to move beyond intellectual agreement with the faith and into a place where following Jesus actually costs us something and reshapes everything
