Who Are We?
¿Quiénes somos?
Our mission is to ensure access to high quality, low cost immigration legal services across West Michigan. We provide legal assistance to individuals who need help with issues relating to immigration.
EQUITY & ANTI-RACISM STATEMENT
At Immigrant Connection, we believe every person is created with inherent dignity and worth. As an immigrant-serving ministry of Kentwood Community Church, we are committed to welcoming and serving all people with compassion, respect, and fairness, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, language, culture, immigration status, or background.
We recognize that racism and discrimination create barriers that prevent individuals and families from fully participating in their communities and accessing essential services. Because of this, we intentionally strive to identify and address inequities within our own organization and in the ways we serve our clients.
Our commitment to equity includes:
Treating every client with dignity, respect, and cultural humility.
Providing services that are accessible and responsive to the diverse languages, cultures, and experiences of those we serve.
Examining our policies, practices, and decision-making to identify and reduce barriers that may contribute to inequitable outcomes.
Pursuing ongoing learning about cultural competency, implicit bias, and anti-racist practices so that we can better serve our community.
Creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and heard.
Working collaboratively with community partners to promote justice, opportunity, and belonging for immigrants and their families.
We understand that becoming an anti-racist organization is an ongoing journey rather than a destination. We are committed to listening, learning, growing, and holding ourselves accountable as we seek to reflect God's love through equitable and compassionate service to every person who walks through our doors.
We believe that welcoming the stranger, loving our neighbors, and pursuing justice are central to our faith. Through these commitments, we seek to honor the diversity of God's creation and ensure that every person we serve experiences respect, hope, and belonging.

Followers of Jesus are called to something radical, uncommon, and counter-cultural when they are called to love and welcome immigrants.
