Breaking Barriers: Reclaiming the Power of Personal Evangelism

When we think about sharing our faith, fear often becomes the greatest barrier between us and meaningful evangelism. This conversation challenges us to examine why so many of us struggle to share the most transformative relationship in our lives. The reality is stark: we're being evangelized constantly by companies selling products, yet when it comes to Jesus, we freeze. The answer isn't found in memorizing more scripture or becoming theological experts, though knowing God's Word matters deeply. Instead, the power lies in our personal testimony—the story nobody can argue with because it's uniquely ours. The early church in Acts 8 shows us that ordinary people, not trained professionals, spread the gospel through persecution. They shared what they'd experienced, and that authenticity was unstoppable. We're invited to ask ourselves a penetrating question: have we truly had an intimate, transformative encounter with Jesus that we simply cannot contain? Because when that happens, evangelism isn't a duty—it becomes as natural as breathing. Whether our story includes dramatic rescue from darkness or the beautiful testimony of God's sustaining power throughout a faithful life, both reveal His glory. The key is being present to what God is doing in our lives right now, not just what He did years ago.
