KCC Manifesto

Mar 1, 2026    Mick Veach

This powerful message centers on Acts 1:6-11, where Jesus promises His disciples that they will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them. We're challenged to move beyond comfortable Christianity into a life marked by supernatural expectation and spiritual boldness. The sermon introduces a manifesto calling us to ten specific commitments: making Jesus our highest priority, growing daily in discipleship, engaging in private and corporate prayer, practicing all spiritual gifts including healing and deliverance, living with expectation of God's power, being the hands and feet of Jesus, sharing the gospel, supporting the Great Commission, serving our local church, and praying for spiritual leadership. The recurring theme that the Lion of Judah is roaring reminds us that we're living in a pivotal moment where the church must rise up despite increasing cultural opposition. We're invited to embrace the messiness of genuine spiritual life, where healing, deliverance, and the full expression of spiritual gifts become normalized rather than exceptional. This isn't about comfort or convenience but about desperate dependence on God's presence and power to transform both our lives and our world.
