

This class introduces basic church leadership, management, and parliamentary law to prepare students spiritually and practically for local church support. Students will develop a leadership mindset and learn to manage for growth through reading, observation, and reflection.

Join us for a three-day interactive experience starting with Chapel at Kentwood Community Church. The schedule features large group learning, small group discussion, personal reflection, and leader interviews. You’ll also have dedicated time to network and discuss ministry goals with your peers.

CLASS INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Rev Curtis Thompson, Executive Pastor
Dr. Curtis A. Thompson holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tennessee State University, an M.Div., and a Doctorate in Transformational Leadership from Wesley Seminary. He serves as a faculty advisor for Nazarene Theological Seminary and Wesley Seminary.
As Executive Pastor and Chief of Staff at Kentwood Community Church, Dr. Thompson manages daily operations and strategic ministry alignment. He is a dedicated teacher and preacher focused on family and helping others build intimate, holistic relationships with God.
