Real Kidz

Dear Families,

Apple picking, pumpkin carving, cider drinking and corn maze adventuring are in full swing as we are now in the first week of October! Fall is such a busy and exciting time before the winter storms come, but I want to encourage you to take some intentional moments within the midst of all the seasonal activities to rest in God's grace and love for you. Enjoy this sweet time with your family, and remember, Jesus says that to enter heaven we must "become like children", so look to your loving Father through the eyes of a child! Embrace the child-like joy He has given you through his Spirit and seek his provision for all your needs.

Starting November 1st, KCC will officially transition our Sunday service indoors. We are continuing to think of creative ways gather as we continue our safe practices of social distancing and the wearing of masks. In the mean time, we will continue with our drive-in services on Sunday mornings for the rest of October. Real Kidz will keep providing resources for you to encourage your child's spiritual growth with our online videos and curriculum packets that are passed out on Sunday mornings. For the month of October, we are starting a new and exciting series for both our preschool(Sing in the Rain) and elementary students(Offstage, drop the act)! Our preschoolers will learn how they can trust in God because "God's got it!", even when things seem out of control. He will take care of them! The elementary students will explore the topic of integrity and learn to value doing the right thing before God, even when nobody may be watching.

We hope to see you this Sunday in the church parking lot at 10:00am! If you cannot make it, we will be live streaming the service for you to worship from home. We cannot wait to connect with you! For more details please see our Facebook page or our KCC website.

Preschool | Singing in the Rain

A new month means a new series! This month preschoolers will grow their trust in the Lord and understand that they can always go to him with their needs because he has got them in his hands. We will kick week one off by reading a story in Daniel 3:1-28 about 3 men who trusted that God would take care of them, even when they were sent into a fiery furnace! God was with them just like he is with us, no matter where we go.

Integrity is choosing to be truthful in whatever you say and do. For the month of October, our elementary students will be diving into this valuable trait. By the end of the month they will understand the value of being truthful with their whole lives! This week we will start off by reading about Daniel's integrity in Daniel chapter 1 and how he chose to live with integrity before God in a hard situation.

Volunteer Opportunity

As we finish up our drive in services for the month of October, we will continue to serve families on Sunday mornings by passing out our Real Kidz packets. We are in need of more volunteers who are willing to help us with that process! Volunteers would arrive on their designated Sunday with a mask by 9:30am to pass out packets to elementary and preschool students either in the parking lot for the drive-in service or at the doors of the Atrium if the weather is poor. You would then be able to join the service shortly after it starts at about 10:05am. If you are willing and able to serve KCC and our Real Kidz families in this way, please sign up with the link below for a Sunday that you are available.

TRUNK OR TREAT!!!

We are so excited to announce that KCC will be hosting our very own Trunk or Treat this year! This family-friendly event will take place on October 31st from 2pm-4pm outside in the parking lot of the church. Come dressed up in your favorite costume and see some amazing trunk decorations as we safely pass out individually-wrapped candy! This event will be socially distanced with safety precautions in place to help limit contact, and there will be sanitizer to limit germs. In case of rain, this will become a drive through event.

In order to successfully put on this event and make it great, we are in need of some volunteers to help us with parking lot management and to serve on a hospitality team for the event. We are also accepting donations of individually wrapped bags of candy! You can bring those on Sunday morning and somebody will come around to collect them. If you would like to sign up to do any of these things, please click the link below and fill out the form, and you will be contacted shortly after. We cannot wait to gather with you and enjoy some Fall fun!
