| Favorite Verse: Philippians 2:5-11 |
| Epic Moments: I have a few ... the two biggest ones would probably be 1) Decision to room with a girl from my church bowling league as we were both planning to attend the same college the following year. She has been my closest friend for the past 20-some years and a major spiritual influence in my life. 2) Losing my job for no apparent reason and being completely devastated only to have it lead to being hired (in God's perfect timing) here at KCC. I never imagined I would be able to use my talents for God's Kingdom so directly! |
| Favorite Bands/Music: Over the Rhine. I was introduced to them by a friend and have been a fan for over 15 years. An excerpt from a review on amazon.com of one of their albums comes close to describing them, “… This is music of delicate beauty, tinged with regret, sadness, and hope, yet devoid of pretense. It sounds like these songs fell out of the sky, drifting through the clouds …” Their music is food for my soul. |
| Spare Time: Movies, reading, hanging out with friends and, as much as possible, sitting on the beach at Lake Michigan, drinking in the beauty. |
| Favorite Movie: The Princess Bride is one of my all-time favorites but I have many ... I love to experience a good story, well told. |
| Favorite Book: Til We Have Faces: A Myth Retold by C.S. Lewis is probably my favorite, although the Chronicles of Narnia and The Great Divorce are right up there as well. I love anything by Lewis. I'm also a fan of C.S. Forrester, J.R.R. Tolkien and Jane Austen, just to name a few. I love reading and will read just about any quality literature. Biographies and historical fiction are also favorite reading subjects. |
