Favorite Verse: Romans 8:38-39 "I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Influences: Besides parents and family, I would say the church in which I ministered while in seminary in San Francisco. We were one of seven different language congregations meeting together in what was called the Church of the Nations. That was the beginning spark that would ignite a love for missions and different cultures.
Epic Moments: Marriage to LeAnn, birth of our three children (Brandon, Kevin and Lindsey), and our family's move to Brazil as missionaries. We became missionaries before internet, etc. and there was little known about the place we were going, so it was definitely a time of faith and reliance upon God. Oh, and the first time we skied a "black diamond."
Favorite Bands/Music: I'm very eclectic in my musical tastes. As a representation, my MP3 includes Little Big Town, Gateway Worship, Doobie Brothers, Rick Braun, and Santana (among others).
Worst Movie Ever: Not quite sure, but probably one that my daughter made me watch with her.
Fear Factors: Snakes. You can drop me in any country or city in the world and I'll have no fears - as long as there no snakes.
Biggest Frustration: People "playing church" and not understanding that the Christian life is the most exciting, adventure-filled existence possible.
