Career Transition Guidance 
Our Mission
The mission of Kentwood Community Church Career Transition Ministry is to help members of the church and community make effective career transitions in the context of their faith and God’s will for their lives.  All services are provided by KCC free of charge as an aid to your life transition. We are committed to helping you realize what the Holy Spirit is doing within you.
Career Transition  Guidance  is available on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For appointments and/or more information contact us by e-mail  or by phone at (616) 455-1740 ext. 135.
The Career Transition Ministry has been developed to serve:
  • Those who have lost their job and need to find a new one.
  • Those who are underemployed, overemployed, or who just wish to review their current career path to see if alternatives are available.
  • Those who feel God may be leading them into a new career path and want to check out the possibilities of making a change.
  • High school or college students who want assistance in making a career choice within the context of their faith.
To carry out the mission of the Career Transition Ministry (CTM) the following services are provided:
  • Resume` and Cover Letter Tools and Critiques - Services are provided for those who would like to develop a resume` or have one critiqued. Help can be provided for on-line or traditional resume`s.
  • Internet Job Search Assistance - We will provide a computer with internet connection for those wishing to do computer assisted job search. Individuals are available to assist those who wish it and a list of websites is available. Call for an appointment or to reserve time on the computer.
  • Networking Assistance - Networking is strongly encouraged and taught to help job seekers make connections with those individuals in the community who can help them find information and job leads. Staff members stand ready to teach networking techniques and help people start a network.
  • Bulletin Board and Job Listings - A CTM Bulletin Board is maintained outside the administrative offices at the West end of the church campus. Job listings called into the church are posted there along with other helpful information.
  • Individual Counseling - One on one support and suggestions from a recruiter.
